Insufficient amount of oil
In the case of an automobile oil lamp alarm, the most common reason is that the amount of oil in the car itself is insufficient, and the amount of oil pumped by the oil pump is reduced, which causes the oil pressure to drop and the oil pressure lamp is on. At this time, you can stop and turn off the engine and wait 5-10 minutes, let the oil flow back to the oil pan, and then measure the amount of oil. If it is indeed insufficient oil, it will be added to the specified scale in time.
If the oil scale is normal, it means that it is not caused by insufficient oil and needs further inspection.
Oil pressure sensor damaged
The oil pressure sensor is a sensor that detects the oil pressure. If it fails, it may cause false alarms. At this time, it is necessary to check whether the oil pressure sensor is normal.
The detection method is also simple. Unplug the sensor plug in the idling state, and first measure whether the connection between the sensor harness and the ECU is open. Then step on the accelerator and measure its output voltage with a multimeter. If the voltage changes with the throttle and the voltage value is within the normal range, the fault can be basically eliminated. If the output voltage does not change after stepping on the accelerator or the output voltage is obviously different from the normal value, then the sensor is faulty.
Oil pump damaged
If there is no shortage of oil and the oil pressure sensor is normal, then the oil pump can be considered, but this situation is generally very rare. Moreover, it is difficult to check without our own equipment. We need to remove the oil pressure sensor and connect it with special equipment to measure the actual oil pressure. If the pressure is normal, it can be judged that the oil pump is okay. If the pressure is abnormal, the oil pump is damaged.
When the oil pump is broken, there will be an alarm. This situation is more troublesome. You need to turn off the engine immediately and then contact the garage.
Generally speaking, most of the oil alarms are caused by insufficient oil volume, and sensor failures and oil pump failures are relatively few.
Poor oil quality
If the quality of the oil is poor, it will cause too many impurities in the oil and affect the normal use of the car.

Oil pipe broken

4. Check the oil regularly. It is recommended to check the oil every 2000 kilometers.
