In Europe, in 1996, the oil change cycle of 15,000 kilometers could be achieved, far exceeding the domestic range of 1 year or 10,000 kilometers. Its performance parameters already meet or exceed the SN level set by the American Petroleum Institute (API), second only to the new SP level released in 2020. However, the current national standard does not involve SM, SN and SP oil. So their lifespan is in a state that is relatively unsupported at the moment.
Since the oil replacement in Europe is more than 10,000 kilometers, why can only be mineral oil 5000 and synthetic oil 7500 kilometers in China? This problem is relatively simple, the domestic oil replacement mileage is the main engine factory regulations, so many after-sales maintenance stores follow this rule. At present, the oil on the market can be simply divided into two kinds of mineral oil and synthetic oil based on the difference of its base oil. Synthetic oil is divided into: full synthetic and semi-synthetic, full synthetic oil is the highest grade of oil. Compared with mineral oil, the stability of synthetic oil is incomparable, as we all know, a point of price a point of goods, synthetic oil is currently the most expensive.
Mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil and fully synthetic oil because of the different base oils, and different additives, so the three use cycles are also different. Under normal circumstances, the regular mineral oil needs to be replaced in about 5000 kilometers or 6 months, and the semi-synthetic oil needs to be replaced in about 7500 kilometers or 9 months. This is good for the operation of the engine, if not replaced for a long time will greatly reduce the lubrication effect of semi-synthetic oil; The replacement cycle of fully synthetic oil can be changed in 10,000 km or about one year. However, different automobile manufacturers do not have a unified standard for the process of oil change, so it also needs to be determined according to the actual situation of the car, such as the model, vehicle condition, working conditions, driving habits and so on. Hazards of not changing oil for a long time: When our engine is running, to put it bluntly, it is iron grinding iron or aluminum grinding aluminum, which all rely on oil to do lubrication, your poor lubrication will aggravate the wear of the engine, in addition, when our engine is running, even if there is oil protection, there will be some wear, that is, fine iron filings are worn down, all rely on oil to clean it, the oil cleaning effect is poor, Iron filings will remain inside the engine, which will also increase wear and affect the service life of the engine. For a long time, there will be burning oil, and the heat dissipation is poor. Antifreeze is used to heat the engine, but you do not know, oil it also shoulders part of the role of heat dissipation, oil heat dissipation is not good, there will be high temperature inside the engine, which will cause knock, that is, the mixed gasoline gas is ignited in advance, the car will be a waste of oil, so the oil is not changed for a year, it will certainly affect the life of the engine, Of course, it is not to say that you do not change it for a year and it will be broken immediately, you will have at least three or five years, three or five years later, there is nothing wrong with the car of the same brand and model with you, your car is not burning oil or shaking.
